Verified on Animatorly
Last updated 26 October 2026. This page explains the two trust marks you may see on an animator's profile, and what each one does and does not tell you.
Email confirmed (free)
Every animator who logs in gets this mark. It means the person used a one-time login link we sent to their email address, so they control that address. That is all it means.
It is free for every animator, and always will be.
Verified (not available yet)
Verified is planned as a paid extra, for when paid extras start. It will apply to a whole profile, and the badge will only appear once all four of these are done:
- Email confirmed. The free mark above.
- Phone confirmed. The animator proves they control a phone number.
- Portfolio ownership checked. The animator shows they control the portfolio they point to, either through a linked account or by posting a code we give them.
- A manual review. Phil at Phlack Visuals, who runs Animatorly, looks over the profile himself.
Right now nobody is Verified. It cannot be bought or applied for yet, and we do not collect phone numbers. When it opens, this page will be updated first.
What the marks do not mean
- They are not a quality score or a ranking. They record checks, not taste or skill.
- They are not an ID or identity check. We do not ask for ID documents.
- They are not a promise that an animator will reply, that work will go well, or that a job will be delivered.
- They do not change how Animatorly handles money. Animatorly never takes a cut and never handles payments between animators and clients. You agree the work and the price directly with each other, and pay each other directly.
